Linux Server Setup and Website Support

I set up and maintain infrastructure: servers, deployment, backups, monitoring, and enhancements for live projects.

Who it's for

I work with small and medium businesses: when you need results without a bloated IT department — websites, automation, promotion, or turnkey support.

  • Local business: cafés, salons, services, retail, delivery
  • B2B and wholesale: catalogs, leads, accounting integrations
  • Online stores and marketplaces at launch or scaling up
  • Startups and product teams without an in-house backend developer
  • Companies in Uzbekistan and remote clients worldwide

What I do

  • Linux install and hardening (Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux)
  • Nginx/Apache, SSL, PostgreSQL/MySQL, Docker as needed
  • Deploying sites, bots, and background jobs
  • Scheduled backups and monitoring with alerts — as separate services
  • Support and enhancement of existing projects

Typical tasks

  • New VPS from scratch for a Django project
  • Site migration to new hosting with minimal downtime
  • Monthly support and small enhancements
  • One-off architecture or stack consultation

Budget guides

Packages for this area: what is included and a budget guide. Exact quote after a free consultation.

First server from scratch (Linux / Windows)

$700 – $1 500 per project

Nginx/Apache, SSL, DB, basic hardening for your project.

Typically includes Stack install, access handoff, short docs.

Additional / repeat server setup

$300 – $700 per project

Repeat setup on a proven stack or a second similar host.

Typically includes Standard stack, SSL, basic checks.

Scheduled backups (with restore verification)

from $700 per project

Automatic database and file backups on a schedule, stored off the server, with retention control and alerts when a backup fails.

Typically includes Schedule and retention setup, separate storage, encryption if needed, a test restore and a short restore runbook.

Monitoring and alerts (uptime, disk space, certificates)

from $700 per project

Checks for site and server availability, free disk space, load, and SSL expiry — with alerts to Telegram or email.

Typically includes Check and threshold setup, alert channels, a short runbook for each alert, a rehearsal on a simulated failure.

Server maintenance (upkeep and updates)

from $700 per month

Monthly upkeep: OS and package updates, security patches, backups, monitoring, certificate renewals.

Typically includes Backup restore checks, disk and load monitoring, alert response, a monthly report of what was done.

Technical support and improvements

$700 – $10 000 per month

Monthly hour pack for fixes, small features, and stability.

Typically includes Task prioritization, hours report, incident response in business hours.

Consulting (after free first call) and hourly fixes

By agreement

Architecture, code audit, roadmap, team help, small fixes. Minimum billable unit - 1 hour, even if the task takes 5 minutes. The free first consultation is up to 1 hour.

Typically includes Call or written review, recommendations, priorities; fixes by agreed scope and rate.

How we work

  1. Brief You describe the task briefly on Telegram or a call. We clarify goals, timeline, and constraints.
  2. Estimate We define scope, milestones, and a budget guide. The first consultation is free.
  3. Development I work in iterations: intermediate builds, reviews, and adjustments along the way.
  4. Launch Deploy, verify, hand over access, and provide short project documentation.
  5. Support Optionally — maintenance, enhancements, and monitoring after launch.

How we work together

Prepayment

Usually 30–50% to start, the rest by milestones or on delivery. Support is monthly. Exact terms are fixed in the quote before work begins.

NDA and confidentiality

NDA on request — before sharing project details. Access, repos, and client data are not shared with third parties.

Revisions and iterations

The quote includes an agreed number of design and feature iterations. Extra scope — quoted separately or hourly.

What support includes

Uptime monitoring, small fixes, consulting, dependency updates — scope and SLA depend on the package (see monthly support in pricing). Major features are scoped separately.

FAQ

What SLAs for support?

Depends on the package: from business-hours response to priority fixes. We agree in writing.

Do you work with Windows servers?

Main focus is Linux. Windows only for specific tasks when required.

Consulting only, without server work?

Yes — hourly or packaged consulting on development, SEO, AI, and infrastructure.

Do you set up backups?

Yes, as a separate service: automated DB and file backups to separate storage, a schedule, and restore checks. Monitoring is set up the same way — as its own job.

Who gets server access?

Access stays with you. I work via SSH with a dedicated user; after handover you can revoke my keys.
